Volunteers Take Camp Sloper's Annual Polar Plunge
Volunteers raise more than $10,000 for Southington's YMCA Camper Fund.
The annual Camp Sloper Polar Plunge drew a team that jumped into the freezing water in formal wear on Saturday. Among the other daring souls was Southington Patch editor Jason Vallee. The plunge raised more than $10,000 for scholarships to YMCA Camp Sloper.

Jason, this is awesome! I like the video, especially the underwater camera. Sorry I was too chicken to jump in the water. I did the Puddle Jump at Bates College twice, and after doing it in Maine, I've fulfilled my quota.

Thanks for all the kind words folks. Making the video was a lot of fun. Seeing people go out of their way to help others always brings a smile to my face.
