Homemade Farm Fresh Popcorn: Popped From Dried Corn On The Cob
A healthy and fun family treat.
Popcorn is a fun and healthy snack to make for your kids to enjoy. This method of making popcorn straight from dried corn on the cob brings a new level of fun to the kitchen.
All you need is a brown bag, dried corn on the cob found at your local farm stand, and a microwave for popping. Your kids will enjoy listening to the popping corn and watching the bag grow as each kernel pops from the corn on the cob.
It's just as simple as putting a buttered pre-made bag in the microwave, but much healthier and far more delicious. It's doesn't get fresher than this!
You can buy these special corn on the cobs at Krell Farm located on 741 Plainville Avenue in Farmington or the Pick'n Patch on Nod Road in Avon. As this new trend at the farm stands continues to grow in popularity, I'm hoping our local stands in Southington begin to carry it as well.
