Second Man Facing Possession of Child Pornography Charge

An Old Turnpike Road resident is facing one charge of possession of child pornography after police said they discovered several items in his possession.

Edwin C. Scott III, 55, of 316 Old Turnpike Road in Southington, was arrested on July 10 on charges of third-degree possession of child pornography and released after posting a $25,000 non-surety bond, according to court records.

He is due in bristol Superior Court for arraignment on July 23, court records show.

Police also responded to several other incidents, a domestic complaint at a Whippoorwill Road home and an incident in which police said a Bristol man sped up to try and avoid being passed on a local road.

Brian A. Green, 41, of 72 Tower Road in Bristol, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving and increasing speed while being passed, July 9.

Amanda J. Callahan, 31, of 66 Stuart Drive in Southington, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment, July 10.

Frank D. Fox, 59, of 16 Whippoorwill Road in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, July 11.

Lisa I. Merrill, 42, last known address of 16 Whippoorwill Road in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct and violation of conditions of release, July 11.
