Band Kick-Off, Senior Art and SWAT Challenge
Five things to help you plan your day on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.
Good morning from Southington Patch! Today is Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.
1. Band camp has been in session all week and members of the Southington High School marching band are ready to show off their talents. Join the band for their annual preview show Thursday at Southington High School, beginning at 6 p.m. for some music and fun.
2. Like art? Been to Paris in Plantsville lately? The downtown Plantsville gallery is currently featuring the works of residents at the Southington Care Center. Stop in at 15 W. Main St. and check it out.
3. Has your house been damaged by a storm? The state has compiled a disaster recovery website loaded with information for before, during and after storms. Take a look.
4. If you are starting to plan ahead for the weekend, why not take in a movie at the Southington Drive-In? The Aug. 24 feature will be "Smokey and the Bandit."
