Community Update

The annual Apple Harvest Festival Bed Race will be held on
the second Saturday Oct 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM. 
The Kiwanis Club of Southington is once again chairing and organizing
the “racing of the beds”.    If you
belong to a civic group, or a church group we ask you to get your volunteers
together and enter the Bed Race. 

The beds are categorized and compete by weight
classifications.  Southington High School
has several Clubs that can enter and race against their peers for the bragging
rights as champions of the School.  Local
“big box” atores can call out their competitors in the Bed Race. 

Next to the Parade the Bed Race has the biggest and
loudest crowd cheering on the contestants.
