The Southington Education Foundation invites the public to its fifth annual Fan of the Foundation Gala Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Aqua Turf. Fans of education are encouraged to attend as all proceeds benefit the Southington public schools. With a theme of “Tailgate at the Turf!” the evening features spirited fun for attendees as they dress in their favorite sports gear and apparel and dine on tailgate-style appetizers and entrees. New this year is the STEM University Lounge, a dorm-style reclining area replete with a pinball game and professional photographer on hand to take photos of all fan guests! The evening also features dancing to the sounds of local DJ extraordinaire Butch Gray, open bar and live and silent auctions. The SEF prides itself on the one-of-a-kind auction items it offers such as student artwork, principal and gym teacher for the day opportunities, Graduation 2013 exclusive seating and more.Tickets are $75 each with proceeds benefitting Southington school students.
