Town Clerk of 20 Years Endorses Kathy Larkin for the Position

We have received an email letter from Leslie Cotton, our elected Town Clerk of the past 20 years in Southington and would like to share that with the citizens of Southington.

Dear Friends and Fellow Citizens of Southington,

As Southington's Town Clerk for the past 20 years, I want to thank you for the trust you have placed in me.  You have honored me with your support. Before any final farewells, I want to take a moment of your time to do one more service for our town, and that is to tell you that I have endorsed Kathy Larkin, our current Deputy Town Clerk, as the best choice tomorrow for the Town Clerk position.

I am proud of the work we do and the customer service we provide everyday in our office.  Much of the credit for that goes to Kathy Larkin who has been my deputy for seven years. In that capacity, Kathy has run the day-to-day operations in the office.  Kathy is a dedicated professional with 28 years experience who quietly goes about her job everyday with honesty, integrity and compassion for everyone she serves.  Kathy completed over three years of schooling and has earned her official Town Clerk certification.  She is currently working on her Master Municipal Clerks' certification.  Kathy has proven she has the leadership skills to run the office.

The choice you make tomorrow is of the utmost importance to Southington and to you. I have endorsed Kathy Larkin because it is important to me that the office remain in good hands when I retire.

Thank you,

Leslie Cotton, Town Clerk
