Yarde Metals makes food donation to Bread for Life
SOUTHINGTON – Bread for Life recently announced that Yarde Metals made a generous food donation to replenish the organization’s storage facility shelves.
“Bread for Life wants to take this opportunity to thank Yarde Metals for its donation of food. During a time when the need is so great, they will make a difference in feeding the hungry here in Southington,” said Eldon Hafford, Bread for Life executive director.
Yarde Metals, founded in the basement of a Bristol home in 1976, has grown to a multi-million dollar company headquartered in a 500,000-square-foot facility in Southington with additional service centers and locations across the country. The business distributes globally a huge inventory of aluminum, stainless, carbon steel and brass in a wide range of standard, unique and hard-to-find sizes.

The company actively supports various causes in the surrounding communities. “Without Yarde Metals and other generous donors we could not do all that we do,” Hafford said.
