The 25th Annual Berlin VFW Scalise-Mayer Memorial Golf Tournament was held Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Timberlin Golf Course.

It was a great day for the 25th Annual Berlin VFW Scalise-Mayer Memorial Golf Tournament. Tournament Director Robert Mayer said there are over 150 golfers enjoyed the weather at Timberlin golf course today. The Championship Dinner was held at The Aqua Turf Club in Southington.

The golf tournament is in memory of the late Berlin Police Chief William B. Scalise and the late community servant William Mayer. 

Money raised by the tournament goes to several charities including the Hospital of Central Connecticut and local scholarships.
