Annie Kamradt's 'Spring on the Trail' Earns National Recognition

The 15-year-old Southington resident was one of 145 pictures nationwide to receive a spotlight in the Times piece on teenage photographers.

In the day of cell phone camera's, photography has become something of a dying art.

For one Southington teenager, however, their ability to wield a camera has earned them national recognition as part of a New York Times series on "My Hometown," which features photographs from across the country.

Annie Kamradt, 15, of Southington, was recognized as one of two featured local residents out of 145 selected nationwide. She was given the shout out for her picture shown above.

(Morgan St. Pierre, 16, was also featured in the spread. For more on St. Pierre's photo, see the Southington Patch feature from Thursday.)

Kamradt's photograph shows a Southington woman enjoying a warm April day on the trail, which extends through multiple neighboring towns and is over four miles long, full of bikers, walkers, joggers and families.
