Republican Town Committee Turn to the Arts on June 14

The Southington Town Committee will host a special fundraiser at "Paris in Planstville" later this month, put political ideology aside a moment to "enjoy some artistic absurdities."

Enjoy some “sophisticated absurdities” with members of the Southington Republican Town Committee and meet a few of the potential candidates for the 2013 local election during a special event at Paris in Plantsville on Friday, June 14.

The Republican Town Committee will be hosting the fundraiser at the 15 W. Main St. art gallery in Plantsville from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is open to the public, Leslie Cotton said late last week.

“Sophisticated Republicans meet sophisticated absurdities,” the flyer reads. The event will serve as a fundraiser for the committee’s fall election campaign, she said. The event will include the works of Clinton Deckert, Jon Eastman, Florin Ion Firimita, Barbara Hocker and Joshua Smith.

Tickets are $40 per couple or $25 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Kelly Larkin at Kat5677@cox.net.
