That continues in 2013 with the Fifth Annual Stuff-A-Cruiser, a program dedicated to bringing together public safety officials to benefit those in need. The following was submitted on the Southington Police Department Facebook Page:

Event: Fifth Annual Southington Police Department Stuff-A-Cruiser
When: Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
Where: Southington Walmart, 235 Queen St. in Southington.

Details: Officers from Southington Police Department will be at Southington Walmart collecting toys and gifts. All of the items collected will be donated to Southington Community Services and will be distributed to needy families in the greater Southington area. In the past this drive has generated large amounts of donations, and has helped out families during the holiday season.
