Southington's Jamie Calli Mascia Named to Connecticut Magazine's '40 Under 40'

The 32-year-old makes the list after her contributions as producer of WFSB's "Better Connecticut"

She might not be making headlines or standing in the spotlight, but "Better Connecticut" is Jamie Calli Mascia's show.

She's not one of the hosts, seeing very little time onscreen, but everything else in the studio is done with her touch. The producer decides topics, orders the graphics, books guests, coordinates segments and more.

Now the production has earned the 32-year-old Southington resident some attention as she was recently named to Connecticut Magazine's annual "40 Under 40" list.

"She started at WFSB nine years ago, rising through the ranks from script runner and teleprompter to evening news producer, manager and finally to her current position, executive producer," Connecticut Magazine wrote.

"She organized and executed a complete kitchen makeover for a Waterbury mom paralyzed in an accident, and executive produced the Hartford Dress for Success fashion show last year."

The list, produced each year, is compiled of state residents under the age of 40 who are making contributions to the community in a variety of ways.
