Valentine Chocolate Festival Returns to Southington

The popular Valentine's Day program returns to the American Legion next weekend – will you be stopping in to get something for your sweetheart or even yourself?

Are you a chocolate lover? Still looking for a gift for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day? Your craving or perfect gift may be available at the Ninth Annual Valentine Chocolate Festival hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary.

The American Legion will host their annual program on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the in downtown Southington. The event will feature a wide variety of options for area residents including a “huge bake sale,” homemade candy, 24 themed raffle baskets, handmade flower arrangements and various other Valentine’s Day gifts said Rachel Wache, event publicist.

“This has become a popular event in the last several years and we are hoping for a great turnout again,” Wache said.

Organizers said that in addition to the gift shopping, visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at the “Sweetheart Café” this year, a new addition to the program that will round out the event.

“If you love chocolate, you won’t want to miss this event,” Wache said.

The program will take place from 10 a.m. – 4p.m. A snow date has been set during the same hours on Sunday, Feb. 5.
