Tuesday night's P&Z meeting sported a short agenda of current items and progress on updating some Regulations.
The Commission approved a committee recommendation on changes to corner lots. They redefined the problem with multiple front yards on more than one street by designating the area between the front door of a residence as the primary front yard and the area between the side of a residence and the other streets as a secondary front yard.
The change would allow property owners of residences on a corner lot to have fences bordering a street. This has been a problem for numerous residents over the years.

Noticeably absent on the agenda was any update and/or discussion on from the P&Z West Street Corridor Committee. That committee is charged with developing a master plan for development and possible zone changes for the area from I-84 to the Bristol town line. Currently the area is a mix of residential, industrial and business zone with several overlay areas.
Finally of note to residents, the Planning & Zoning Commission is reducing their normal schedule of twice a month meetings for July & August to only one meeting each month. Check the Town website for updates each week.
