The musical, Company, will be produced on Nov 9, 10, 11 (matinee) and 16, 17. Rehearsals will be Sunday and Monday nights from 6:30pm - 9pm at First Congregational Church.
Auditions are being held on September 9 and 10, from 6:30 pm to 9. There are parts available for six men (aged 30+) and for eight women (college age and up). Please be prepared to read from the script and sing a song (preferably a tune from the show.)
The story revolves around the birthday party of Bobby, a confirmed bachelor who has five couples as his very close -- and married -- friends. Bobby also has three girlfriends he is in and out of relationships with. Bobby's friends try to convince him that living alone is not good for him...or is it? In describing their marital happiness, they paint the picture of what true marriage is: hard work, compromise, passion, friendship, authenticity, lying,...etc.
Bobby is the one character who has the heavy lifting, in that he's onstage all the time. The other parts come in and out based on vignettes -- so people with busy schedules can certainly be accommodated.
If you have any questions or are interested in assisting with any other part of the show (lights, set, sound), please email the show's producers, John Zimmerman (johnzim@cox.net ) or Chris Aulbach (caulbach@cox.net).
