Game Day Nachos: Always A Crowd Pleaser

An easy and satisfying dish everyone will enjoy!

Nachos are a quintissential football game day snack. Loaded with all of your favorite condiments and toppings, they are always a crowd pleaser.

These nachos are topped with traditional toppings, but you can get as creative as you want. The beauty of nachos is they can be adjusted to your liking.  Add shredded chicken or chili over the top for a heartier version or fresh pico de gallo and guacamole.

No matter how you prefer your nachos, a great basic recipe like this one is a perfect place to start. Just layer your chips, top with your toppings, and bake until warm and melted. Hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients

1 bag Tostitos
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup taco seasoned cheddar cheese
1/4 cup pickled jalapenos
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
scallions or chives, sliced for garnish

Directions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Spread a single layer of tostito chips in a 9x13 baking dish. Spread 1/2 cup of your sharp cheddar and 1/2 cup of your taco seasoned cheddar cheese over the top. Then spread another layer of tostito chips. Sprinkle your remaining cheese evenly over the top then add your pickled jalapenos and sliced olives.

Bake your nachos in the oven until the cheese is almost melted, about 10 minutes.

Remove your pan from the oven and spoon salsa over the top. Bake your nachos for an additional 2 minutes to allow the salsa to warm and your cheese to complete melting.

Remove your pan from the oven, dollop sour cream over the top, and sprinkle with chopped scallions or chives.
