Why Go: Actor and Comedian Tracy Morgan will bring his stand-up special to the Palace Theatre this Friday. The show contains adult humor sketches and stand-up comedy for a fun night out.

Why Go: This fundraiser for the Community Services Food Pantry includes a night of music and comedy making for a great night out. The menu consists of a salad and pasta station, dessert, coffee, beer, wine and soft drinks. And it's for a good cause!
Price: $55 per person.

Why Go: Whether you are looking for a couple's date or an actual girls' night out, this musical theater performance is sure to give you some laughs.

Why Go: The Palace Theater will turn pop when Clay Aiken comes to town. The season 2 runner-up on American Idol will perform a selection of songs from his albums.

Where/When: Southington Elks Club Lodge No. 1669, 114 Main St. in Southington - (860) 628-6682, Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Admittedly, this pick is for the family. But it's also a good time. Bring your own comfy chair and enjoy hotdogs, popcorn, cookies, candy and juice while watching the movie. The feature will be "Despicable Me."
Price: $3 per person, free for children under 2-years-old.
