Police: Woman Sexually Assaulted on North Shuttle Street
Southington police are investigating a sexual assault that allegedly took place late Thursday after a man ran his car into the back of a woman's vehicle and proceeded to rape her when she got out of her vehicle.
Detectives are asking for help in locating a man that they said allegedly sexually assault a local woman after luring her from her car by tapping it from behind with his Nissan Altima.
Police said in a press release Friday that the woman came forward to report the sexual assault, which occurred around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Long Bottom Road and North Shuttle Street in Southington.
