Celebrating the Season in Southington

The town officially kicked off the holiday season on Friday with the lighting of the town green in Southington and 30th annual hospitality night.

There was Santa Claus and horse drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate and cider, candies, cookies, fruit and more as more than a thousand people walked through downtown Southington on Friday night as the merchants hosted their 30th Annual Hospitality Night.

The event is a popular kick-off for the holiday season and one which draws families to the businesses surrounding the Southington Town Green. Hosted by the Merchants of Downtown Southington, it was a night of fun for families.
