Readers' Choice: Best Liquor Store

Memorial Day weekend is here, which for many means the start of summer celebrations and weekend gatherings with friends and family. As you start your summer season off this week, we asked you where the best place was to get advice for your adult beverage needs.

In the end, there weren't a lot of passionate nominations or high number of votes, but you chose a staple along Queen Street.

This week's topic wasn't a very popular one, with only two comments during the nomination phase on Southington Patch and one on our Facebook page. The poll itself also saw little activity with just 16 total votes over the course of two days - but there was a defined winner this time around.

It came down to a contest between , and Route 66 Liquors, but it was Southington Wine & Spirits that came out of top.

Out of the 16 votes, Southington Wine & Spirits took the win with nine of them. Route 66 Liquors received six votes and M & R received only one.
