7-11 Slurpies Coming to Queen Street

A transformation is taking place at the former site of Randy's Wooster Street Pizza as it becomes the new home of 7-11.

It has only been a short time since closed its doors on Queen Street, but that has not kept the location down for long.

Meet the store's new owner: 7-11. The store is quickly being transformed into the popular convenience store. Take a look at a few early pictures of the renovations and store design.

Are you excited about a 7-11 coming to town? Would you have preferred to see something different? What would that have been?

We want to hear from you - tell us what you think!

I'd rather see a Wooster Street Pizza !

I knew those stokers of the Town's economic engine, the dynamic duo of Art Secondo & Louie Perillo III, would bring something big to the strip!

Where is the Panera Bread going?
Marc Bramhall March 22, 2012 at 12:12 pm
Supposedly in Shoprite Plaza two doors down from Moe's.

Since when is 7-11 a "popular convenience store restaurant"? I don't think it will last long.

Not a very good location for that type of store.

Would rather a Panera Bread! Where you can slow down and have a nice soup/salad!

You have to be KIDDING ME !!!!!!!!!! 7-11 !!!!!!!! That beautiful building is going to 7-11 !!!! What a joke!!! When the hek we ever gonna get a Christmas Tree Shop or Olive Garden...that would be nice!!!!! Good to hear Wooster Street going to downtown Southington...that's nice over there, but just don't see why a 7-11 on Queen Street.

Your right............ uggg.............a 7-11............ 15000 square feet of chinese Christmas baubles and the corporate culinary stylings of the Olive Garden would be much better!!!! I dont know much about 7-11 but I dont see what the big deal is. Who cares? Just another place to buy cigarettes, lottery tickets and slurpies. I agree with hg above though, getting out is a nightmare if you aresouthbound.

I hope it lasts longer than the milk and bread store that went into the old Patten Brook location a couple of years ago. Seem like overkill to me - with the Shop-Rite across the street and Cumberland a few hundred feet away - they are a big name though so that may draw customers.

Those that grew up with 7-11's get it!! Waited a long time for one to come to southington, I don't know if that is the right spot though. Would have liked to see a Five Guys maybe.

Peggy, Panera is going into Shoprite Plaza 2 doors down from Moes..
Marc Bramhall March 23, 2012 at 11:32 am
Bridget, Olive Garden is going in across the street from Price Chopper.
Marc Bramhall March 23, 2012 at 11:33 am
Richard, No one should be supporting Cumberland. They're the ones gouging people with their gas prices.
Bridget March 23, 2012 at 01:25 pm
Marc: WHOOO we are getting an Olive Garden! :-) Love it!
Jackie: Five Guys ...YES!!! That would've been great! Richard: I totally agree with you. Ed: You got that right, what's the big deal !?? Well I guess we shall see what happens...I give it about 6 mos!!!

Olive Garden!? Another restaurant?! Awh, come-on, what we really need is a sports card store or another nails salon. Art, Louie, what gives with this?!
