What's Open, What's Closed on Memorial Day
Today is a federal and state holiday as local residents are asked to remember those who gave their lives serving our country.
May 30 is considered a holiday in observance of Memorial Day. State and local government offices are closed but many retail businesses are open:
- Southington Town Hall: Closed
- Southington Public Library: Closed
- Southington schools: Closed
- Banks: Closed
- U.S. Post Offices: Closed
- State Government Offices: Closed
- State courts: Closed
- Liquor stores: Closed
- Supermarkets: Open
- Retail stores: Open
Many beaches and pools have also opened for the season this past weekend.
