Help Home Front in Southington Saturday May 3rd - Volunteers needed to make over a house

STEPS Advisory Board Member and Executive Director of the Southington United Way, Kaye Davis, who is the Executive Director of the United Way of Southington, would love to have volunteers come out and show their support for our community through the HomeFront event on Saturday May 3rd.  HomeFront is a community-based, volunteer-driven home repair program that provides FREE repairs to low-income homeowners, thus enabling them to remain in their homes with an improved quality of life.

This Saturday, the group will be working on a Southington home and will remove a slider and replace with a window, replace two storm doors and the trim, and paint the exterior of the house.  Additionally, there will be yard clean up (raking and removing leaves), washing windows and a good “spring cleaning” in the kitchen and laundry room.

If anyone is interested in volunteering – either for skilled or unskilled labor - please contact Kaye Davis of United Way at 860-302-8095.
That is her cell phone and the best way to reach her.
