Openings in all Computer Classes at Calendar House

The Calendar House Senior Center has openings in all classes at the Computer Learning Center. The new session starts April 30 and runs to June 20th. But you need to Register Monday, April 22, 2013 at Calendar House. For your choice of classes suggested arrival time is at 8:30 am for course applications. Registration process start at 9 to 10:30 am. The following classes have openings: COMPUTER BASICS FOR BEGINNERS: 4-week course for seniors (55+) with little or no computer experience. Session 1: Thurs., May 2nd to May 23rd 9 to 11 am - Session 2: Thurs., May 30th to June 20th 9 to 11 am INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS: For seniors (55+) who've taken Computer Basics for Beginners or the equivalent. Thurs., May 2nd to June 20th 1 to 3 pm. This course provides an experience in the elements using Windows, files & folders, word processing, internet and email. Great place to start after you've had the Computer Basics for Beginners. MANAGING WINDOWS 7 FILES AND FOLDERS: A 6-week course that will help you organize the files, folders, and photos on your computer, both on Windows 7 and XP. Tuesdays, April 30 thru June 4 1pm - 3:00pm LIBREOFFICE WORD PROCESSING: A 4-week program that covers all of the basics of word processing. Tuesdays, May 7 to May 28 9 - 11am iPAD BASICS: A six week workshop that will cover the basics of using your iPad. Tuesdays, April 30th thru June 4th 1 - 3pm. PRACTICAL WEB USE: A 6-week course that will help you use the internet in a practical way in your daily life. Wednesdays, May 1st thru June 5th 9 - 11 am. *The “Basics” course or the equivalent in experience is a pre-requisite for all others offered. TUITION FEES: The fee for each course is $25.00 with no annual dues. Exception: there is a $5.00 fee for Computer Basics for Beginners. There are no other fees or dues associated with this program.
