Southington Task Force - Family Fun Night

Save the Date: Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Southington H.S. Gym. The Harlem Comedy Rocket will be on hand. The Southington Drug Task Force is sponsoring a Family Fun Night with the support of many school clubs. The Harlem Rockets Basketball Teams gives a No Drug Message to the school and the audience as they show their stuff on the court. They'll also visit the schools for a day program. They'll play against the Southington Fire & Police Departments, Teachers and Town Officials. Like the STEPS coalition, the Southington Town-wide Efforts to Promote Success in Growing Great Kids, and the connected vision of the Southington Board of Education, the messages of the Harlem Comedy Rocket will include: Anti- Drugs, Anti-Alcohol, Anti-Smoking, Staying in School, Do Your Homework, Listen to Your Teachers, Listen to Your Parents, Peer Pressure, Building Self Esteem, Building Moral Character. Tickets are $6.00 for students and seniors; adult tickets are $7.00 and are available at the door, at SHS through the Key Club: Advisor Beth Hosmer, or contact Trish Kenefick: sportsdir2000@yahoo.com or 860-778-6639.  A faculty member,Mrs. Kenefick is sports director at DePaolo Middle School and a long-time, energetic member of the STEPS advisory board representing the Schools/Education sector of Southington.
