Triplets Plus One To Receive Confirmation at St. Dominic Church

There's pleny to be excited about in one particular household this month!

Southington resident, Joel Karabienikoff, is very proud of his four daughters. The eldest three, Abigail, Breanna and Caroline are triplets. Their younger sister, Pamela, is a year younger. Joel, their dad, beams with just pride that his girls have each held honor student status straight through school.

The lives of triplets, and a sister with triplet sisters, is no doubt filled with interesting experiences and stories, some wierd, some funny and some just wholesomely curious, especially with the higher degree of attention they unintentionally draw.

It seems natural therefore to be especially interesting that  the four of them will be receiving Confirmation together on the same day at St. Dominic Church, Sunday, May 18, 2014 at four o'clock in the afternoon.

The girls’ grandmother, Veronica Stankowski,  is visibly thrilled that they’re being confirmed together, adding that “I am so very proud of the girls and their many accomplishments.”  Their dad, Joel, who sings in the St. Dominic Choir, told us that while the girls have common interests, they are each quite different in their personalities and in their individual interests. Abbie is an ardent basketball player on the Platt H.S. Basketball Team. Breanna loves singing in the school chorus. One of Caroline’s keenest interests is drama. Pamela loves pinning recipes on Pinterest. Joel said. (Caroline followed her interests in faith and drama and had a part in the "Nativity Story: A Musical Production" at St. Dominic Church in December 2013).

The girls usually attend ten o’clock mass with me at St. Dominic while I’m up in the choir loft. Sometimes, particularly in the summer off-choir season, they attend a later mass with their Grandma V., and the girls are very close to her. ”

We've seen these girls many times in church. They triplets are not identical in appearance or in personality. The four of them are just fine young ladies.

St. Dominic Confirmation program director and youth minister, Bev Montana, said: “These four girls are amazing...each is their own unique manner of just being themselves. They are so different from one another. The one thing they have in common is a generous spirit of giving. They are so willing, eager, to help whenever and wherever help is needed. When asked to assist with any task, each, without a second of hesitation, says, ‘Yes, sure. I’ll help’ “.

The Karabienikoffs had triplets but this month they're having quadruple the fun.
