One Golden Ticket Holder is 'Lucky for Life'

Connecticut has a grand prize winner - is it you?

The following was submitted by the Connecticut Lottery.

History was made last night as the first top prize for the recently launched “Lucky for Life” Lottery draw game was won by a Connecticut Lottery player! The LUCKY winner will receive an incredible $1,000 a day, for life.

Of the 26,473 winning tickets sold for the Connecticut Lottery’s Monday, April 30, “Lucky for Life” drawing, one ticket sold in New Haven County contained the winning combination for the game’s top prize of $1,000 a day for life. The winning numbers were 03-09-10-11-34 with the Lucky Ball number, 19.

Connecticut Lottery’s President and CEO, Anne M. Noble, is urging players to check their tickets.

"At this time, we don’t know who the winner is, so I am urging everyone to check their tickets, and to sign all winning tickets immediately to establish ownership," she said. "We’re eagerly awaiting our winner to come down to the Connecticut Lottery headquarters to claim their prize!"

"Lucky's"
top prize is worth an incredible $1,000 a day, every day, for the rest of its winner's natural life. Paid on a weekly basis, the winner will receive $7,000 a week (pre-taxes) from the Connecticut Lottery for as long as he/she lives.

Lucky for Life is a unique lottery game because its top prize value is based on the longevity of the winner.  The minimum guaranteed amount a top prize winner could receive is $7,300,000 ($1,000 a day for 20 years), but winners who live longer than that will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life.

To date, more than 417,000 winning “Lucky” tickets have been sold in Connecticut.

Lucky for Life was launched on March 11, 2012, and is the first "New England Only" lottery game in the region's history.  CT Lottery draw game tickets and prizes expire 180 days from the date of draw.  Winning tickets for Lucky for Life must be redeemed in the state where purchased.
