Southington Town Schedules: Referendum, Budget and Planning Commission

It's a busy and important week for Southington voters as the fate of the town's Middle School Renovation Project lies in their hands. The vote Tuesday, March 19, will decide whether the town moves forward, with voting at one location (Derynoski Elementary School) from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

But that's just the start of it. The Board of Finance will tackle the budget with several workshops, the Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Tuesday and more.

Monday, March 18

Tuesday, March 19

  • Board of Finance Workshop, 6:30 p.m., in the Finance Department Conference Room at Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St. in Southington.
  • Cable Advisory Council, 6:30 p.m., Cox Communication Studios on Route 10 in Cheshire. 
  • Planning and Zoning Commission, 7 p.m., in the Municipal Center Assembly Room, 200 N. Main St. in Southington.

Wednesday, March 20

  • Self Insurance Committee, 4:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St. in Southington.
  • Board of Finance Workshop, 6:30 p.m., in the Finance Department Conference Room at Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St. in Southington.
  • Plainville-Southington Regional Health District, 6:30 p.m., in the Town Manager's Office at Plainville Town Hall, 1 Central Square in Plainville.

Thursday, March 21

  • Apple Harvest Festival Committee, 6 p.m., in the lower level conference room at Southington Town Hall, 75 Main St. in Southington.

Friday, March 22

No meetings scheduled.
