Surviving Irene

Take a look at some of Patch's photos from the storm and add your own. Where did you hide out and was the storm too much or over-hyped?

Hurricane Irene came in with a flury of winds and rain, leaving many parts of town with fallen trees, broken tree limbs and other damage.

The storm left a total of 3,870 customers without power at it's peak, staff with Connecticut Light and Power said, and led to about a dozen road closures according to the .
