It's time to celebrate, mom's and dad's, because the children are finally getting out of the house for a bit. Southington schools get back into session, bringing the summer to an end.

Drive-In Movie Night
Saturday, Sept. 2, at the , 966 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Plantsville.
"The Sandlot" - Rated PG, hosted by Southington Bread for Life. Gates open at 6 p.m.; movies begin at sunset. Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 26. Southington residents pay $10 a carload; non-residents pay $13 a carload. Walk-ins are welcome at $2 per person - please bring lawn chairs. Food vendors will be on site. Movies subject to change.
