What's Open, What's Closed on MLK Day
Today is a federal and state holiday as local residents are asked to remember Martin Luther King Jr.
Jan. 16 is considered a holiday in observance of Martin Luther King Day. State and local government offices are closed but many retail businesses will remain open:

- Southington schools: Closed
- Banks: Closed
- U.S. Post Offices: Closed
- State Government Offices: Closed
- State courts: Closed
- Liquor stores: Allowed to Open
- Supermarkets: Open
- Retail stores: Open
- Restaurants: Running on their usual Monday schedules.
The ice rink at remains closed at the moment as Mother Nature continues to work in order to freeze the ice. Please be patient as to not damage the liner.
