Saturday, New Years Eve, Mount Southington will be open from 9am to 5pm. Sunday, New Years Day they will be open from 9am to 10pm. Currently they have 6 trails and 5 lifts available with an 8 to 18 inch snow base. www.mountsouthington.com

Callahan's Bowl-o-Rama

Spare Time – Bristol
Spare Time is hosting a Galactic New Year's Eve party on Dec. 31 from 9:00 p.m. to 1 a.m. The cost is $25 per person or $100 per lane. There will be unlimited bowling and shoe rental, music and light show, bring your own appetizers but not drinks. For the families who want to bowl, there will be a great Family New Year's Eve party on Saturday; $49.99 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and $59.99 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kids looking for something cool to do on New Year's Eve? Starbucks
The Starbucks at Target, 600 Executive Blvd. Southington will be open the next three days with hours on Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Starbucks at 613 Queen Street will also be open with house on Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visit: www.starbucks.com
CVS stores
Most are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. "We are always open," said Lori Navarro, a cashier at the CVS on North Main Street in West Hartford. "The Earth could be falling apart, and we'd be open." The pharmacies are closed except at the 24-hour store locations. www.cvs.com
All Town of Southington Offices are closed on Monday, January 2, 2012 in observance of the New Year's Holiday. All offices will reopen on January 3, 2012.
The Library & Museum will be closing on Saturday, December 31st at 4:30 p.m. and will remain closed on Monday, January 2nd in observance of New Years Day.
Department of Motor Vehicle customer service centers will close on Friday, Dec. 30, at 12:30 p.m. for the New Year's holiday and reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 7:45 a.m.
