I've gotten used to your grammatical errors and even you spelling mistakes since Patch was introduced but apparently now we also need to check on the accuracy of your stories. Liquor stores in Connecticut were in fact NOT closed on Washington's Birthday as your story indicates. A good editor with spell-correct and authenticity-checking would greatly help this online publication.

p.s. It is also not on February 12th but February 20th and it is not President's Day. It is Washington's Birthday. Check federal calendars and the federal calendar act of 1968 and you will find that the third Monday in February was designated as the day to celebrate Washington's birthday. No other presidents are mentioned.
