Why did you run for office?
I became concerned that the citizens of Southington were being removed from involvement in their own Government and what appears to be a personal agenda of the current Republican administration. They appear to be abdicating their responsibility to govern by giving absolute power to hired administrators.

If elected, what would be your primary areas of focus?

I would focus on having the people heard, responsible taxing and spending and following the town charter especially in the area of referendums regarding large expenditures.

What do you feel is the biggest issue facing Southington today?

The most important issue is the finances of the town. We must look forward to be sure we plan for future needs to avoid large necessary spending by maintain our rainy day fund and only using it for those types of expenditures when they present themselves.

What skills do you have that you could bring to the community?
I bring commonsense, over 25 years in Human Resources, a solid knowledge of government and a broad range of life’s experience.

(Optional) Anything else you would like to share?

Our senior citizens have made defining contributions to our way of life and we must be careful not to abandon them by not helping them in their retirement years with housing, transportation and other basic needs.
