Name: Sandra "Sandi" Brunoli
Age: Not Given
Party, Position Seeking: Democrat, Southington Town Clerk

From Sandi:
Southington is my home - I was born, raised and reside here along with the rest of my family. Watching this town evolve from a small farming community that my mother's family, the Hubeny's, have been a part of since the late 1800's, to the town we have grown into today has been amazing.

I have deep roots in the community, loving the beauty of our town and truly caring for the people who are a part of it. I have experienced the demands of the private sector business needs with my previous experience managing a customer service business and  working in the non-profit industry before being employed in the Town Clerks office for 11 years. They have given me the experience and insight to become your next Town Clerk.

Even though I have never been given the opportunity for certification, I have handled all duties of the office, including assuming total responsibility on numerous occasions in the absence of the Town Clerk and Deputy Clerk. My current responsibilities include being Assistant Registrar of Vital Statistics and Records Management Coordinator, while assisting with the day to day office work flow. I look forward to greeting and helping all those coming into the office needing our services.

I was given the task of taking all of the town records, organizing them, and setting up two vaults with a managing system for each town department. All records are identified with retention dates and codes set by the State Library making it a simple task to find records dating back to the 1800’s. With my accounting background, I relish the challenge of creating a budget that takes care of the needs of the department, but also keeps spending in check.

Advancing technology has moved our department forward towards the virtual town hall of the future. I will continue to do so, being sure all staff receives the knowledge to continue to provide the very best assistance. Not everyone owns a computer or has access to the internet, great resources, but they can never replace exceptional one on one customer service.

Even as we grow, my vision is to keep Southington’s small hometown atmosphere, provide that exceptional one on one customer service, address all your needs, whatever they may be, with staff personally answering your telephone calls, and most importantly, do it all with a smile! I am here for you and ask for your vote on Nov 5.
