Why did you run for office?
Southington is a great place to live, work and raise a family. I’d like to see that quality of life maintained in our town.

If elected, what would be your primary areas of focus?
Economic Development. Southington’s geographic location is such a positive for businesses to locate in our municipality. Development of business enterprise zones encourages just such development, which in turn increases the Grand List.  Planning is the key and the thought process must be proactive.

What do you feel is the biggest issue facing Southington today?
The economy and striving to balance these lean economic times while providing the high quality level of services to the residents of Southington without increasing the tax burden to its residents.

What skills do you have that you could bring to the community?
As a business owner, one must have long-term vision and a plan to achieve that vision.  I have viewed Southington as a business in that sense and will continue to strive towards a long-term vision of economic, scholastic and service development utilizing measures currently available as well as seeking out resources that may be beneficial to optimize these developments.

Anything else you would like to share?
Yes. Southington’s motto is “City of Progress.” I will continue to work and maintain that status, which benefits all the citizens of our great town.
