New Britain Industrial Museum

Come experience centuries of innovation…..

and see what made New Britain Connecticut the Hardware Capital of the World.

The New Britain Industrial Museum was formed  to collect, conserve and exhibit items manufactured in New Britain as a way to learn from and appreciate the past and inspire  the future. On display you will find thousands of artifacts representing the creativity and effort of  generations of people living and working in New Britain. From 19th century hooks & eyes  to 21st century ERA Cobra Cars the New Britain Industrial Museum serves as a bridge between New Britain’s industrial past and it’s present. There is something here for everyone…..Universal toasters, percolators, waffle irons and cutlery; Stanley planes, levels, hinges and hand tools; decorative hardware made by Corbin and Russel & Erwin; changing exhibits that showcase special collections 2 or 3 times a year and much, much more.
