The hikers have weathered the storm and are still on track to arrive in Southington, CT on Saturday November 3rd.
The two inspiring volunteers, Kristen Creech and William Mosebach, both residents of West Palm Beach, Florida, will continue in light of Hurricane Sandy to hike across the east coast on foot from Maine to Florida. Their journey will span nearly 2500 miles across the East Coast Greenway trail to inspire people they meet to help military families in need with the message that anyone can step up to help. All proceeds for events are donated to Active Heroes.
Active Heroes is a national volunteer led charity whose mission is to strengthen military families and assist veterans and active duty by providing financial assistance and job placement.
