Frederick A. Hoerup, 77; Southington Country Club Employee

Frederick A. Hoerup, 77, of Southington passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the HCC at New Britain General surrounded by his family.

He was the loving husband of Nancy (Borek) Hoerup.

Born Dec. 17, 1936 in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Andrew and Florence (Endicott) Hoerup.

Fred retired from Refined Sugars after 30 years of service. He was currently working at the Southington Country Club. 

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church. Fred loved to golf and spending time at the library reading. Most of all Fred loved to vacation with his wife and being with his family.

In addition to his wife he leaves his children, Christian Hoerup and wife Victoria, Karin Coons and husband Thomas, Erik Hoerup and Peter Hoerup and wife Syvonne all of Cornwall, NY; his step children, Grant Kavanah, Sharon Kleinhen and husband Brian, Shawn Kavanah and wife Krista all of Southington and Jennifer Meola and husband Christian of Plantsville; a brother Alan Hoerup and wife Kathy of FL; 21 grandchildren, Seamus, Mickey, Andrew, Kristin, Thomas, Joshua, Kaonna, Kory, Grant, Vanessa, Taylor, Marcus, Dinah, Mackenzie, Keyshawn, Nicole, Christina, Juliana, Kameron, Ava and Christian; his mother-in-law Anna Wichick of Southington. He also leaves his dog Tiffany.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, July 6, at 11:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 531 Woodruff St., Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-6 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
