Kristen Milano, 19; Middlesex Community College Student

Funeral arrangements are set for Southington fire victim.

From DellaVecchia Funeral Home.

Kristen Milano, 19, of Southington, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2014. She came into this world on August 19, 1994, the daughter of Mary Milano of Southington and Michael Milano Jr. of Hamden.

Kristen was attending Middlesex Community College following her dream of becoming a radiologist. Friends and family knew her as free spirited girl who had the special gift of instantly making you feel special and putting a smile on your face. Her beauty was equally matched by her huge heart and larger than life personality that immediately touched anyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who were privileged enough to meet her.

Besides her loving parents, she is survived by her loyal and adoring brothers and sisters Jason Milano, Jeffrey Milano, and Joshua Zatulskis “her Boo” all of Southington; Alicia Milano of Hamden and Melissa Milano of New Britain. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother Helen Goodrich of Meriden and paternal grandmother Dolores ”Dee” Milano of Hamden, Mary Milano’s longtime companion Peter Zatulskis of East Haven, a nephew Adrian “Papi” Fera, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Kristen was predeceased by maternal grandfather Kenneth H. Goodrich and paternal grandfather Michael “Buddy” Milano.

Kristen was a shooting star who shined brightly and fell far too soon. She impacted our hearts in a way we will never forget.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, at Faith Living Church, 20 Grove St., Plantsville. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Cheshire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Southington Community Services, 91 Norton St., Plantsville, CT 06479 or search “Kristen Milano Our Guardian Angel” at www.fundme.com.

Her family would like to thank the community of Southington for all the support they have given them during this most difficult time.
