Southington Board of Education Chair, Brian Goralski, Speaks to Citizens

Brian Goralski,(Rep.) Chairman of the Board of Education addresses the Southington community:

Dear Southington residents and supporters of education,

Four years ago, the Southington voters gave the Republican Team an opportunity to lead our community and followed it with overwhelming support two years ago.

Over this time, we have seen the great leadership of the Republican led Boards making Southington improvements while addressing many long overdue needs of our community.

Education has remained a focus during this period as evident in projects such as the renovations of the Middle Schools, implementation of All Day Kindergarten, development and implementation of a three year plan to improve technology, a focus on retaining small class sizes and increased student achievement and the launching of our Vision 2020 education program offering every single student a better individual education for an ever changing culture that awaits them upon graduation from Southington High School.

Community improvements were seen in many areas as well.  A few examples are:  the creation of a new Municipal Center, paving more roads than ever before and the installation of the turf field at SHS to benefit the school and town youth leagues.

Communications and Technology have moved forward on every level in town government and education.

None of this would have been possible without the trust and support of you, the voters!

I’m proud to have served on the Board of Education for the past ten years, the last six as Chairman.  Southington Schools are a leader in the state with regards to student achievement and our ability to accomplish more despite the current economy.  The success of our schools and community come from people dedicated to what is best for Southington and a willingness to make difficult decisions while communicating with all stakeholders in a respectful and honest way.

I ask that you remember who TRULY supports Education when you vote this coming Tuesday, November 5th. Please consider supporting the entire Republican Team to keep our schools great and Southington moving forward.

 Thank you,

 Brian Goralski
