St. Stan's Students Electrified by Learning

The Saint Stanislaus School Academy of Math & Science Grade 8 students recently learned about electricity, resistance and Ohms law.

The students learned the formula for calculating voltage and were able to create mathematical problems attempting to calculate the voltage expected if they constructed a series circuit with two known resistors and a 1.5volt power supply.

Once completing the circuit, they discovered that the values on their multimeters were slightly different than expected. This then led to a discussion of potential reasons why the values were different.
