The Cyber Knights Win the Industrial Design Award Sponsored by General Motors!

The Cyber Knights represented Southington in a BIG way at the FIRST Robotics Groton District Event this past weekend. After two days of qualification matches the Cyber Knights were showing dominance on the field resulting in achieving the #1 seed out of 33 robots.

For the elimination rounds,they selected Team 78 Air Strike from Rhode Island and Team 3719 STEM Whalers from New London to join their alliance. They received a hard fight in round one and ended their run as quarter finalists. 

The Cyber Knights won the Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors for their outstanding beast of a machine! Their machine features a extremely agile 6 CIM motor/6 wheel drive, multi-directional intake and camera with LED lighting to direct shooting. 

They were also presented with a special award from team 571 from Windsor for their gracious professionalism. The Cyber Knights helped team 571 with their broken robot even though the knights were to go against them in the next round. Way to show that Southington Sportsmanship!
