What Would You Improve in Southington in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Southington, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Southington to make it an even better place to live?

What is on your Southington wish list? What is one thing you would improve in 2013? Would it be to lower taxes? Do you have a program you'd like to see implemented in our schools or for residents across town? Is it something entirely different?

It's your turn to voice what you want. Tell us in the comment section below or blog in our local voices section about why you love living here!

Is this a trick question?

I am surprised, Whiskey, that Arthur Cyr hasn't tooted his horn. I guess he figures there's too much chance he'd say the unacceptable to the powerbrokers if he did said something on the spur of the moment. Give it some time and he'll root around in the gutter for the party line; couple o' days at most, I'd say.

This may follow along the lines of the previous topic on New Year's Resolutions to eat healthier. Wouldn't it be nice if Southington had a Whole Foods Market? I'm not sure why West Hartford has 2 Whole Foods and Southington 0? I would love to be able to shop for more organic produce other than apples and lettuce. Just a thought.
