Pet Food Recalls: Is the food you are feeding your pet really safe for you or them?

With recalls listed almost everyday are you sure the pet food you are feeding is safe?

As many of you may know there has been yet another mass pet food recall!  What most consumers don't understand is this is not first or the last!

The pet food industry makes sure that information is not easily found to discourage people from doing their own research.  A bag of food can read very nicely as far as ingredients go but the real questions are where do the ingredients come from and where is the food manufactured?  This is the most important part of choosing a pet food!  Most pet food companies send the production of their products out to a mass producer such as Diamond (the source of this latest round of recalls).  The problem with this is quality control.  Every bag that was manufactured in that Gaston, South Carolina plant over a 6 month period has been recalled!  14 people have gotten sick and 9 were hospitalized one was in CT.

I don't understand how consumers are not outraged by this constant issue.  Pets are literally dying due to the negligence of pet food manufactures.  This is not an uncommon occurrence, history is repeating itself.  Some of the recalls by years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009-2010, and 2011!  The pet food industry has gotten completely out of hand.  Consumers are being mislead and quite frankly lied to by clever marketing and cover ups.

If you are not outraged you are not paying attention!  Our pet's trust us to care for them it is our job to keep them safe!  Arm yourself with knowledge.  The only way this is going to stop is if consumers stop buying these products.

Buy from companies who meet these standards: no ingredients from China, no mass production, and no recall history.  You will find there are not a lot of choices out there.  There are people such as myself whom have knowledge of the practices of these companies.  I would be more than happy to help you find a food that is safe, affordable, and your pet thrives on.  This industry needs to be brought down!
