Is Formatting Really That Important?
Formatting is a simple but very important step in getting the word out.
One of the tricky things about publishing on the internet is the common problem of software code and web publishing software not communicating well.
Many journalists and bloggers will prepare their posts in a desktop publishing program like Microsoft Word and then cut and paste the body of the text into their new post. It's always a great idea to have a copy on your computer!

The difficulty that is presented with this technique is formatting. Often, when text is copied into a web publishing or Content Management System the text will appear as one block of text with no paragraph spacing.
Is it the end of the world? No.
But if you're blogging for visibility it would certainly be in your best interest to take a few extra moments to add those spaces and any hyperlinks back into your post. A clean body of text will better serve you and your readers!
