Bristol Man Dies Following Injuries in South End Road Accident

Michael Carlone has succumbed to injuries sustained when his vehicle crashed at the intersection of South End Road and Meriden Avenue last week.

A Bristol man who was involved in a serious one-car rollover accident that occurred last week has died following injuries suffered in the accident, Southington police said Wednesday.

Michael A. Carlone, of Bristol, was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury on Tuesday evening. He was 30-years-old.

Carlone suffered serious injuries in a crash at the intersection of South End Road and Meriden Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. on April 10, according to a press release from the Southington Police Department.

"An investigation revealed that (Carlone) was traveling northbound on South End Road approaching the intersection of Meriden Avenue when Carlone lost control of his vehicle and the vehicle rolled onto its roof on the roadway,” police said in a press release last week.

"The vehicle went off the road and carne to rest back on its tires north of the intersection."

Further details are not being released due to the active nature of this investigation, police said Wednesday.
