A Bristol man is facing charges including risk of injury to a minor after police said he took an underage girl to a Queen Street motel on Oct. 8 and proceeded to establish sexual contact after drinking with the girl and a friend.

He was arraigned in Bristol Superior Court on charges of risk of injury to a minor and second-degree sexual assault Tuesday afternoon and released after posting bond, officials said.
Police said Tuesday that officers began investigating the incident after receiving a call from the Bristol Police Department on Oct. 8 reporting that there were “missing juveniles reported” and information that the juveniles may have gone with Giannini, 19, to the in Southington.
Officers learned through an investigation that Giannini and the missing juveniles held a small party at the hotel in which they had been drinking.
Giannini allegedly established sexual contact with one of the juveniles, a 15-year-old Bristol girl who was known to him according to police. It was not released whether the incident involved force, but police said due to the victim’s age, the law does not allow for a consensual sexual relationship.
