Clinton Babysitter Arrested in Second Sexual Assault Case

Southington police have arrested Loni Bouchard, 20, for a second sexual relationship with a 14-year-old in Southington. Police said the cases involve two different victims.

The sexual relationship between Loni Bouchard and a 14-year-old Southington boy wasn’t the only relationship she had with an underage male, police said Monday after the Clinton babysitter was arrested for the second time.

Bouchard, 20, was arrested again Monday for the second time in two months, this time for a relationship she had with a different 14-year-old boy three months before she started dating the victim associated with her arrest in July.

“It is alleged that Bouchard had sexually assaulted a 14-year-old juvenile male that was known to her in November, 2010,” said Sgt. Lowell DePalma. “This one allegedly took place Nov. 2010 in Southington. The other arrest in February 2011 – the cases involve two Southington males, two different males.”

Bouchard, of 133 West Main St. in Clinton, appeared in Bristol Superior Court this morning for arraignment on charges of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. She had been out on bond following the recent incidents.

Further details of the case were not immediately available because the case has been sealed under court order.

The arrest comes just one week after Bouchard and her mother, Kimmy Bouchard, each appeared in Middletown Superior Court in connection with a previous arrest for a continued relationship Bouchard was having with a Southington boy that included

Earlier this month, the courts released further details regarding the first arrest, including a list of evidence seized which included a notebook with a photo of Justin Bieber on the cover that Bouchard had used as a journal detailing her relationship.

In the journal, Bouchard professed her love for the first of the two alleged victims and details the sexual relationship the two had been having.

“I don't care about the law. I just want to be with him and not have to hide it. How can the law tell us who to fall for, who to like and who to love and especially who to date, I thought America was a free country," an arrest affidavit states she wrote in the journal.

According to the warrant in the first case, the victim’s mother hired Bouchard in December to babysit him and his five siblings after the Bouchard met the woman at a Salem campground. The victim’s mother told police that her son reported Bouchard was having problems at home and the mother offered to let Bouchard stay at her house whenever she wanted.

The boy would also stay at the Bouchard’s residence in Clinton often where Clinton police said Kimmy Bouchard provided marijuana and alcohol for her daughter and the 14-year-old teenager to use before his parents discovered the relationship through messages on Facebook.

Police said in an affidavit that Loni Bouchard admitted to the relationship when questioned by detectives and later also admitted to the second relationship leading to the most recent arrest.

Clinton police said Monday morning that they are also investigating whether Bouchard had maintained the previous relationship in their town as well, but the case remains under investigation and further details were not immediately released.

Based on the outcome of the Clinton investigation, Bouchard could be facing further arrests in the case.

Court records show that Loni Bouchard is now facing three counts second-degree sexual assault, four counts of risk of injury to a minor and purchasing alcohol for a minor stemming from the three separate arrests.

Kimmy Bouchard, 46, is facing charges including sale of illegal drugs, two counts of risk of injury to a minor and illegal purchase of alcohol for a minor, according to court records. She could also be facing additional charges in the case.

Both are due back in Middletown Superior Court in two weeks, according to court records.
